It is always interesting to think about the two
sides of an issue, be able to agree and disagree with a statement. Orchidians
of VI-X classes participated in their much awaited English Debate competition
on 26/10/13. The debatable topic for participants from VI – VIII classes is
‘Friends are good Companions’. The participants from IX & X spoke for and
against ‘Parents must be the deciding factors in their children’s education’.
It was a pleasure to see them develop their skills
of organizing the material and express their views clearly and confidently.
They were able to emphasize their points of argument convincingly appealing the
audience.
