the first storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, all that France is famous
for and how the National Day is celebrated in France.

the keyboard. The brief discussion on
‘les magies’ by Ramya, Amina and Kaushiki Ch. made the audience curious.

introduced Jean de la Fontaine to the audience. The dance by the students of
the eighth was spirited and the ‘Fashion parade’ of the students of the second,

announced, the nominated students rendered speeches during the morning assembly
to acquaint the other students about their capabilities and the need to vote
for them.
Elections were
subsequently held; all the students of Classes VI – X were very enthusiastic
and particular about casting their votes for the Head Boy, Head Girl, Captains
and Vice – captains of the four houses – Carnation, Daffodil, Marigold and Tulip.
Niranjan Muralidharan and Deeksha Pandey were declared the Head Boy and Head
Girl respectively of the senior section.
Nikhil and Khadija Khan were declared the Head Boy and Head Girl for the
primary section. To emphasise the importance of discipline and to inculcate the
spirit of sportsmanship, two students from the Class X were also declared for
the posts ‘Sports Captain’ and ‘Discipline In charge’.
The Investiture ceremony
was held on 13/7/ 2013 in the school campus. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mr. Musa Bin Ibrahim,
Additional Commandant, Special Police, Amberpet. In her welcome address, the
Principal Ms. Mona Mehdi stressed on the importance of ‘grooming’ children as
leaders from the school level itself. The Chief Guest Mr. Musa Bin Ibrahim gave
an inspiring speech; he described the relevance of responsibility and being
human as important qualities of any leader.
It was altogether a very solemn and engrossing programme where all the
office bearers were invested with their badges in the presence of their proud
parents and friends. This is also their first step towards working with
responsibility and keeping in mind the school’s motto – Learning to Lead.Monday, 8 July 2013
