EYE Checkup (21/11/12)

Most of the children spend   many hours watching television or playing computer games. Keeping this factor in mind, the school has organized an ‘Eye Camp’ on the 21^st November, 2012. It has been a part of the school’s constant endeavour to promote healthy living and to create awareness about the necessity to take care of ourselves. The camp was conducted by Vasan Eye Care Hospital, the world’s largest eye care network. All the students have been given a Camp Card.     

The fourth International youth and child art exhibition 2012

Students of Orchids The International School participated in Diploma for participation in “FRAGRANCE OF ART BUDS” the fourth International youth and child art exhibition 2012.

The participants were from Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Srilanka, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovekia, Crotia, Ukrine, Maldova, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey, China and India. 6 Orchidians received gold medals and 11 of them got the Jury’s award. The others were given participation certificates.

II Lang Calligraphy Competition 17/11/12

Good handwriting is indispensable to education. The interest of the students is reflected through their handwriting. Handwriting Competition was conducted for students of 2^nd  language i.e. Hindi, Telugu and French on 16/11/12 for classes of I-V. The students of VI – X took part in the same competition on 17/11/12.

Children's Day Celebration (14/11/12)

Orchids – The international School celebrated Children’s Day with a lot of enthusiasm. It was a jolly time for all of us to see our dear teachers perform exclusively for us.

      The celebrations started with some of the teachers singing songs; it was later followed by dances by some of the other teachers. The dances were truly wonderful and made all of us speechless. Then, as a part of entertainment, our senior section teachers performed a small skit with one of them as a teacher and the rest as students. The skit dealing with a typical class scenario kept all of us in splits. The surprise of the day was a magic show. The event finally came to an end with our Principal Ms Mona Mehdi wishing us on the occasion.

On the whole, we had a wonderful time to see our teachers perform, all for us.
